We’re the RoBawks, a community FTC team based in Berkeley, CA — and a team of perpetual rookies! Every year we start fresh with new 7th and 8th graders, learning everything from the ground up: designing, building, coding, and collaborating, all in the spirit of gracious professionalism.

The team’s rookie year was 2020 (on Zoom!), but we started attending qualifying tournaments in 2022. Many of our members join with no previous experience in robotics or coding, while others grow up from our community FLL teams, which we launched in 2024 (FLL Challenge) and 2025 (FLL Explore).

We might not be experts (yet), but we show up curious, we solve problems together, and we build robots that reflect our growth — one season at a time.
